September 1, 2012, Waveland, MS, Thousands of dead nutria on the beach following Hurricane Isaac. Nutria, large semi-aquatic rodents have the potential to cause health and environmental hazards. Hancock County officials closed the beaches and are trying to get FEMA money to pay for the clean-up.
