June 9, 2013, Sumner, Texas, Julia Trigg Crawford stands on a ball of hay overlooking the easement on her land that TransCanada condemned by eminent domain in order to build the southern portion of the Keystone XL pipeline. Crawford is fighting TransCanada in court to stop the pipeline from crossing her land and though her case has not be heard, the construction of the southern end of the keystone XL continues. President Obama will decide if the Northern route of the Keystone XL will be permitted in a couple.
