Fracking Tuscaloosa Shale -1.jpg

May 25, 2014, Kentwood LA, Goodrich Petroleum frack site next to McDaniel's Dairy Farm, just outside the city limits of Kentwood. The site is in the Tuscaloosa shale region which is in Louisiana and Mississippi. Larry McDaniel, the farm's owner has leased his land to another company that is fracking under his land. The Goodrich site isn't fracking under his land, but toward the north under property he doesn't own. He doesn't see any problems with the fracksite next to his home yet and welcomes the fracking industry; however, he is monitoring his cows behavior, which hasn't changed since the work began a few months ago, according to Daniels. He had concerns before the project began about his well water, but was assured by local officials his water source is not at risk.
