Friday, May 19, 2017, New Orleans, LA, Masked workers prepare a Confederate statue of General Robert E. Lee for removal from Lee Circle. It was the last of four monuments to Confederate-era monuments to be removed after a proposal by Mayor Mitch Landrieu to remove the monuements was approved by the city council in 2015.
