A police officer guarding the Edward Douglass White monument in front of the Lousiana Supreme Court in New Orleans while Take ‘Em Down NOLA held a rally during a protest on June 28, 2020. A few hundred people came out to protest against police violence and racial inequality and marched through the French Quarter stopping at monuments on the groups list that it demands be taken down. The organizers explained the historical significance of each statue.
